Forty minutes out of Melbourne’s CBD you’ll find Montmorency, the suburb home to Stones Throw — a café that caters to the whole community’s specialty coffee needs and then some.
Stones Throw owner Trent previously worked at Allpress in Collingwood and knew exactly what he wanted to create in Montmorency when he set up shop in 2018.
What started as a single shop front has expanded to include the neighbouring space which now offers a large seasonal menu of Australian café classics made from local produce. Indoor and outdoor seating is available for the extensive community they’ve built and a retail coffee offering for any home brewing needs the locals may have.
Running our A.R.T. Espresso Roast, the Stones Throw crew are brewing from 6:30 am Monday to Friday and from 7:30 am on Saturdays. If you’re more of the home barista, the team have got you covered with alternative brew devices available for purchase, as well as retail coffee in whole beans or ground fresh on-site for your home brewing.
